If you're harvesting from your garden, here are a few tips on how to tell if your produce is really ready.

Sweet corn
Silks turn brown or black.

Cabbage
Heads become solid and dense.

Broccoli
Harvest before the flower buds open.

Stone Fruit
Wait until they're a tad soft and pull away easily.

Onions
Leaves turn yellow and start to curve.

Blueberries
Pick at least once a week to catch them at their best since berries ripen at different rates.
